Frequently Asked Questions

Why are external-market considerations relevant to financial planning and/or retirement planning?
Risk Assessment.

Without properly analyzing external market considerations, the level of risk may not be a true reflection of market conditions. Most market volatility is macro-related and can usually be traced to one of the external-market considerations. Our educational platform provides unbiased information to help analyze these risks appropriately and help investors make the best decision for their financial needs.

Why aren't external-market considerations addressed more often when considering investment recommendations?
Since the arrival of aggressive monetary policy and the pandemic, many traditional forecasting models have become obsolete. What analysts considered relevant 15 years ago is much different than what's considered today. For example, the stock market now looks to the Federal Reserve for a "helping hand" in times of market downturns and uses that rhetoric to help stabilize market conditions. Prior to 2007, this use of monetary policy wasn't even an option (the general consensus being you can't buy your way out of a market downturn) yet it's the accepted norm today. The problem is, there hasn't been enough time to analyze the changes in monetary policy since the start of the pandemic, so the Federal Reserve is going to keep a close eye on the market for the time being. Meaning, we're in uncharted waters and the analysts are taking it day to day for the foreseeable future.

How Stimulus Money Is Created

“Every dollar they saved was worth less with every financial crisis, while the government just printed more money to preserve the stock markets, the financial status of the elites, and the banks who served them.”
